How do you feel about your birthday? Do you look forward to it and remind all your friends, or do you dread it and try to keep it a secret?
This is really ironic because in 15 minutes, I will be 23 years old.
I don't know how I feel about my birthday. I think on a general level, I dread it. It's never really been a time of celebration for me. Things tend to go wrong in my family around birthdays and holidays.
But now I have a wonderful guy who has spent the last few days making me smile more than I have in years. I think that Ryan has got to be the best (early) birthday present I could ever hope for. I don't want anything else for my birthday but him for the rest of my life.
God I'm so disgustingly cute in love... >.>
Have you ever done anything out of pure spite? What did you do?

Almost every damned day. My karma must suck.
How do you want 2008 to be different from 2007? What will you change or do differently?

I want to stop letting myself be unhappy. I've let a lot of other peoples' actions get to me, and I've in turn acted in ways that have shocked myself and those who know me. I don't want to be that girl anymore.
Something needs to change, but I'm not sure what. I'm working on finding new employment. In fact, there is a job fair down the street at the end of February that I'm going to attend. I need to start in on a resume and...maybe an art portfolio, because I have no idea what sorts of companies will be represented there. Better to come prepared than find yourself lacking, eh?

Which friend or acquaintance most influenced your taste in music?
Submitted by Rev Stan.
Oh man. It has to be Katy--hands down. Before meeting her, I had never been a serious fan of music. I was what you would call...musically stunted. My parents only liked one certain type of music when I was younger, so I didn't branch out too much from that. But after I met Katy in 2004, it's been a whole other story. It seems like every time we talk she's got a new band or artist I simply must hear. She turned me on to Tom Waits. She showed me that Depeche Mode were more than just a kitschy, depressing 80's electronica band. And, perhaps most importantly of all, she enabled my love of Nick Cave through the cleverly-thought out gift of 'Stagger Lee' in mp3 format.
It was love at first gun shot.
I think the point is that I trust Katy's taste implicitly. Hell, it's better than watching MTV to see what's 'hot' *gags*
What are your plans for the weekend?
Work all day, move tonight, Sunday, and Monday.
Possibly also quit my job.
More on that later. :(
What does it mean to live well?
Submitted by Dean.
Goood question, Vox. You see, I'm not exactly sure. In today's society, we're told that living well is being rich. However, I know dozens of people who live well, but are tight on funds. Somehow, they manage to be hard-working, well-balanced, poor people.
I think so long as you are content, you are living well.
What's the story behind a time when you got locked out?
Oh lord, I used to get locked out all the time. I was constantly forgetting my keys as a child, and I'd have to sit on the front porch till my mom came home from work at seven. I watched a lot of California sunsets that way, lol. It's also why I'm so crazy about remembering my keys these days.
